The Sierra Vista Historical Society was formed with the desire to help preserve the history of Sierra Vista, it's citizens and its environs.
Projects undertaken by the Society include:
- Listing of the Fry Pioneer Cemetery on North 7th Street on the National Historic Register
- Historic Plaque research and placement on historical buildings and sites in the West End of the city
- Affiliation with the Henry F. Hauser Museum at the Ethel Berger Center
- Sponsorship of the Sierra Vista Genie Club, which meets the first Wednesday of most months
- Fundraising for a new city museum

Ambiance & History held May 22, 2010:
This event was the first of a yearly event to raise money for the new Henry F. Hauser Museum. The event consisted of fine foods served by eleven of Sierra Vista's restaurants and wine from two local Wineries. (Click here to see a list) Adding to the event was an Art Auction of donated art.
